Who we are

Kalkulo.eu is an informational website that provides free financial calculators for several European countries. This policy describes what data we collect when you visit the site and how we process it, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Malta's Data Protection Act (Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta).

What data we collect

Cookies and consent

We use Google's "Consent Mode v2". On your first visit you will see a banner with two options:

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

If you choose "Accept all", we use Google AdSense to display third-party advertising on this site. Google and its advertising partners set cookies on your device and process data such as your approximate location, the pages you view and your interactions with ads. These cookies are used to serve and measure advertising, and—where you have consented—to show you personalised ads based on your interests.

These advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. Until you accept, Google's Consent Mode v2 instructs AdSense not to read or write advertising or personalisation cookies, and no personalised advertising data is collected. If you select "Essentials only", AdSense is not loaded at all.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the site data in your browser, which removes your saved choice and shows the banner again. You can also manage how Google personalises ads to you—or turn off ad personalisation entirely—through your Google account at myadcenter.google.com, and review how Google uses cookies in advertising in the Google advertising policy.

Third parties

We share data with the following processors only when you accept all cookies:

Where these providers transfer data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected by an appropriate GDPR Chapter V safeguard, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Malta's Data Protection Act (Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta) you have the right:

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hola@kalkulo.eu. We will respond within 30 days at the latest.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta, the supervisory authority: idpc.org.mt. You may also contact the data protection authority in your country of residence.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months (the GA4 default setting). Email addresses from the form are kept until you request deletion or for a maximum of 24 months of inactivity.

Minors

The site is not intended for children. In Malta, the age of digital consent for information society services is 13. We do not knowingly collect data from persons below this age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or technical changes. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this document.
